What is SCASA?
The Speciality Coffee Association of Southern Africa is an association of coffee industry players, from all sectors of the industry in Southern Africa. SCASA has a mission to promote both the consumption of quality coffees and the recognition of the employees of the industry within Southern Africa.
Under the visionary banner of having a "United Passion for Coffee", The Specialty Coffee Association of Southern Africa (SCASA); a registered Section 21 non-profit company (Registration No. 2007/010996/08) offer an insight to the valuable mission, within the association:

What is the role of SCASA in the South African coffee industry?
SCASA is an agent for the World Coffee Events and the World Barista Competition, therefore promoting the competitions related to these organisations. SCASA ensure that baristas within the country are trained to an ultimately professional level, providing them with the best skills to compete in competitions Regionally, Nationally, and Internationally.
SCASA provides a forum to share information and views, so as to assist the industry in growing the knowledge and awareness of Speciality Coffee in Southern Africa.
